Automated Guided Vehicle
An Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) is a motorized vehicle that carries loads autonomously through a facility, like a warehouse or manufacturing plant, without the need for a human operator. They navigate using various methods, including following lines or wires on the floor, using radio waves, or employing vision cameras and lasers. AGVs are crucial for streamlining material handling processes and enhancing efficiency in industries with high throughput requirements. 
Specification
The main navigation methods of AGV are:
1. Magnetic strip navigation
Similar to electromagnetic guidance, magnetic strip navigation uses magnetic strips on the road surface instead of burying metal wires under the ground, and realizes guidance through magnetic induction signals. It has better flexibility, is easier to change or expand the path, and is simple and easy to lay magnetic strips. However, this guidance method is easily interfered by metal materials around the loop, and the magnetic strips are easily damaged by machinery. Therefore, the reliability of guidance is greatly affected by the outside world.
2. Laser SLAM navigation
Laser guidance is to install laser reflectors with precise positions around the AGV driving path. The AGV emits laser beams through laser scanners and collects laser beams reflected by the reflectors to determine its current position and heading, and realizes the guidance of the AGV through continuous trigonometric operations. The biggest advantage of this technology is that the AGV has accurate positioning; no other positioning facilities are required on the ground; the driving path can be flexible and can be suitable for a variety of on-site environments. It is currently the advanced guidance method preferred by many foreign AGV manufacturers; the disadvantage is that the manufacturing cost is high, the environmental requirements are relatively harsh (external light, ground requirements, visibility requirements, etc.), and it is not suitable for outdoor use (especially susceptible to rain, snow, and fog).
3. GNSS-GPS/Beidou navigation.
